Hennur Road, Bengaluru

Hennur Road runs north-east from the Hennur Cross and Kalyan Nagar side of Bengaluru, crosses the Outer Ring Road at the Hennur junction and continues through Kothanur, Byrathi and Gubbi Cross as the Hennur-Bagalur Road towards Bagalur and the airport. HBR Layout and Kalyan Nagar are to the west, Horamavu to the south-east and Thanisandra to the north-west. It gives the eastern suburbs an alternative route to the airport.

Over the past fifteen years the road has turned from a string of villages into one of north Bengaluru's busiest apartment corridors, driven mostly by Manyata Tech Park, which is a short drive west along the ORR. Schools, restaurants and supermarkets have followed, especially around Kothanur. The road itself has not kept pace: it is two lanes in many places and slows down badly near the ORR at peak hours. The Blue Line metro, with stations at HBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar and Horamavu, and the Kanaka suburban rail corridor through north-east Bengaluru are both under construction.

Housing ranges from affordable 1 and 2 BHK projects to large villa communities. Buyers are mostly Manyata and ORR professionals, and families looking for more space than the inner city offers at similar prices.

Eight are shown as ready to move: Adarsh Wisteria and Adarsh Tranqville villas (from about ₹3 crore and ₹2.28 crore), Adarsh Pinecourt, Kolte Patil Raaga, Brigade Altamont, Purva Promenade, Purva Palm Beach and Rohan Upavan, with apartments listed from about ₹36 lakh. Prices on these may be dated. Sobha Victoria Park is under construction, with 2 and 3 BHK homes of 944 to 1,267 sq ft carpet area from about ₹1.22 crore and possession due in December 2027.
