Sarjapur, Bengaluru

Sarjapur, or Sarjapura, is an old market town in Anekal taluk, south-east of Bengaluru, at the far end of Sarjapur Road. The road from the city passes Dommasandra before reaching the town, and roads fan out from it towards Attibele and Hosur Road to the south, Varthur and Whitefield to the north, and Chandapura to the west. It lies outside the Greater Bengaluru Authority area, and planning is under BMRDA.

For years this was farmland around a small town centre. That has changed as the IT belt has pushed out along Sarjapur Road. Large townships, plotted developments and villa projects now surround the town. Daily needs are met in the town, but for hospitals, malls and most schools residents still drive towards Carmelaram, Bellandur or Whitefield. Roads beyond the main corridor are narrow, and water and power infrastructure is still catching up with new construction.

The buyers are mostly people working on the ORR or in Whitefield and Electronic City who want more space for the money, along with long-term investors. IndiProp lists three projects here. Prestige Great Acres, priced from about ₹30 lakh, had possession due in July 2025. Godrej 24, from about ₹61 lakh, was due in April 2023, and Godrej Woodland, from about ₹92 lakh, was due in December 2022. All three are complete or in handover, and the listed prices may be out of date, so check current rates with the developers. A commute into the city is long whichever route you take.
