Binnypet is a small area in west-central Bengaluru, a short way south-west of Majestic and the KSR Bengaluru City railway station. Magadi Road runs along its northern side, Chamarajpet and Kempegowda Nagar are to the south-east, Vijayanagar and Hosahalli to the west, and Chalavadipalya and Cottonpet to the east. It falls within the Greater Bengaluru Authority, which replaced BBMP in 2025.

The name comes from the Binny Mills, a textile mill that stood here for over a century and was one of the city's main employers. After the mills closed, the large site was redeveloped into apartment projects and retail, which is why Binnypet has more modern high-rise housing than its older neighbours. The area is very central. The Purple Line stations at Magadi Road and City Railway Station are close, and Majestic, with its metro interchange and the city's main bus terminal, is a short trip away. The flip side is that the surroundings are dense and commercial, with heavy traffic on Magadi Road and Mysore Road and limited open space.

Buyers are typically families and professionals who want a central address with rail, bus and metro links, including people working in the older business districts around Majestic, Chickpet and Rajajinagar. IndiProp lists one project here, Shapoorji Pallonji ParkWest, a large high-rise development on part of the old mill land that was priced from about ₹52.3 lakh. Its possession was due in November 2022, so it is complete and ready to move into. The listed price is likely dated, so confirm current rates with the developer.
