Goregaon, Mumbai

Goregaon lies between Jogeshwari to the south and Malad to the north, split by the Western Railway line into Goregaon West and Goregaon East. The west runs out towards Link Road and the creek towards Oshiwara, while the east climbs past the Western Express Highway to Aarey Colony and Film City (Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari).

Goregaon East has changed most in the last twenty years. Oberoi Garden City, next to the highway, brought offices, a mall, a hotel and high-rise housing, and the NESCO exhibition centre and IT park are close by. Film City and the studios make the area a base for many people in film and television. Goregaon West is older and more residential, with societies around the station and newer towers towards Link Road. Buyers range from salaried families to senior professionals working in Goregaon, Malad and Andheri offices.

Metro Line 7 has stations at Goregaon East and Aarey along the highway, and Line 2A has a Goregaon West station on Link Road. Metro Line 3 starts at Aarey JVLR, just south. Goregaon station is on the Western line. The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road, including twin tunnels under the national park, is under construction and will give a direct road to Mulund.

IndiProp lists 4 projects in Goregaon. Oberoi Elysian in Goregaon East, listed from ₹6.15 crore, has possession due in December 2026. The other three are shown as ready to move: Kalpataru Radiance (possession was due in December 2023, from ₹3.17 crore) and Wadhwa Crown Residences (June 2022, from ₹2.25 crore) in Goregaon West, and Lodha Fiorenza (April 2019, from ₹2.67 crore) in Goregaon East. Prices should be confirmed with the developers. Traffic on the highway and around the station is heavy at peak hours.
