Chandivali, Mumbai

Chandivali lies on the western slopes of the Powai hills, between Saki Naka to the west and Powai to the east. Saki Vihar Road runs along its northern side and links it with Powai and Marol, while Chandivali Farm Road leads down towards Saki Naka and Andheri-Kurla Road. The area is part of the L ward, which also covers Kurla.

Chandivali grew quickly from the early 2000s, when open land and old industrial plots were taken up by large gated complexes. In the film industry it is known for Chandivali Studio. Most homes are in towers inside large layouts, and the buyers are largely IT and finance professionals working in Powai, Andheri East, BKC and the Saki Naka office cluster. Shops and schools are available within the area or in Powai, and Powai Lake is close by.

Metro Line 1 has a station at Saki Naka, a short ride away, and connects to Andheri and Ghatkopar. Metro Line 6, planned from Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli through Powai, is under construction. Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road is reached through Powai, and the Western Express Highway through Saki Naka and Marol.

Prices are from older listings and should be confirmed. The Saki Naka junction is congested at peak hours, and internal roads are narrow in places.
