Andheri East, Mumbai

Andheri East lies between the Western Railway line and the Powai hills, with Vile Parle East and the airport to the south and Jogeshwari East to the north. The Western Express Highway cuts through it, and Andheri-Kurla Road runs east towards Saki Naka and Kurla. Much of the area is commercial: MIDC Andheri, SEEPZ, Chakala, Marol and JB Nagar hold offices, hotels and older industrial units, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport sits at Sahar.

That mix shapes daily life. Many residents work within a short ride, and the area has a large rental market for people employed in the airport, aviation, IT and services businesses nearby. Holy Spirit Hospital is in Mahakali, and SevenHills Hospital is in Marol. Housing ranges from older societies and chawls to newer towers along the highway and in Marol and Chakala.

Transport options are wide. Metro Line 1 runs along Andheri-Kurla Road with stations at Western Express Highway, Chakala, Airport Road, Marol Naka and Saki Naka. Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line), fully open since October 2025, has stations at Marol Naka, MIDC Andheri, SEEPZ and the airport, and links to BKC, Worli and south Mumbai. Line 7 starts at Gundavali and runs up the highway to Dahisar East.

IndiProp lists 5 projects in Andheri East, all ready to move: Lodha Acenza (possession was due in June 2025, listed from ₹5.26 crore), Lodha Eternis (December 2024, from ₹2.34 crore), Oberoi Maxima (June 2022, from ₹3.5 crore), Omkar Sereno (December 2022, from ₹89 lakh) and Omkar Lawns and Beyond (October 2022, from ₹80.4 lakh). Some of these prices are from older listings, so buyers should confirm current rates. Traffic on Andheri-Kurla Road and aircraft noise near the airport are the main drawbacks.
