Kalina, Mumbai

Kalina is in Santacruz East, between the Western Express Highway and the Mithi river. Bandra Kurla Complex lies to its south, Kurla to the east and the domestic terminal of the airport to the north. CST Road (Kalina) runs through it and joins the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road, which crosses to Kurla and Chembur.

The area is home to the University of Mumbai's Vidyanagari campus, and the Air India colony and other staff quarters take up large parcels of land. Around them are older societies, small commercial streets and a growing number of towers built through redevelopment. Its main draw is location: BKC is a short drive away, and the airport and Western Express Highway are close. Buyers include professionals working in BKC and Andheri East, and investors looking for rental demand from the same offices.

Metro Line 3 has stations at Vidyanagari and Santacruz, both close to Kalina, and runs south to BKC and Worli and north to the airport and SEEPZ. Santacruz station on the Western line is across the highway, and Kurla on the Central line is to the east.
