Juhu, Mumbai

Juhu runs along the sea between Santacruz West to the south and Versova to the north, with Vile Parle West and Andheri West on its eastern side. Juhu Tara Road follows the coast, and Juhu beach stretches for several kilometres along it. The Juhu aerodrome, one of the oldest airfields in India, sits inland near Vile Parle.

Juhu is one of the most expensive residential areas in the western suburbs. Its JVPD Scheme and the lanes off Juhu Tara Road hold bungalows and low-rise buildings owned by film personalities and business families, and coastal zone rules limit the height and density of new buildings. Everyday landmarks include ISKCON Juhu, Prithvi Theatre and the beach itself, and Dr R.N. Cooper Hospital is nearby in Vile Parle West. Buyers are mostly high-net-worth families and senior professionals, and new supply comes largely from redevelopment of older buildings.

There is no metro station in Juhu yet. Metro Line 2B, from DN Nagar towards Mandale, will have stations on the eastern edge of Juhu, but that section is under construction. Vile Parle and Santacruz stations on the Western line are the nearest rail stops, and the Western Express Highway and the domestic airport are reached across the railway line.

It is shown as ready to move, and the price should be confirmed with the developer. Buyers should also expect beach traffic at weekends and very little new construction.
