Omkar Realtors & Developers

Omkar Realtors & Developers was set up in 2003 and has worked only in Mumbai since then; the company says it has no branch offices in other cities. It is run by second-generation promoters, with Kamal Kishore Gupta as chairman and co-founder Babulal Varma as Managing Director, and a large share of its work has come through redevelopment of older housing. By its own figures it has delivered more than 20 projects, about 4 million sq ft of homes and offices, and has over 20 million sq ft under development in the city.

Its projects sit in three clusters. In central Mumbai, Omkar 1973 is the company's high-rise address in Worli. In the eastern suburbs, Omkar Vive and Omkar Meridia are in Kurla, close to LBS Marg and within reach of BKC. In the western suburbs, Omkar Alta Monte and Omkar Signet are in Malad East near the Western Express Highway, and Omkar Sereno and Omkar Lawns and Beyond are in Andheri. Several of these are tower projects on redeveloped land, built in phases, so the completion date can differ from one tower to the next within the same project.
