Kogilu, Bengaluru

Kogilu is in north Bengaluru, just east of Bellary Road (NH 44) at Kogilu Cross, between Jakkur to the south and Yelahanka to the north-west. Thanisandra and Hegde Nagar are to the south-east, and the Bagalur side is to the north-east. It is on the main road route between Hebbal and the airport.

The area has grown on the back of its highway location. Residents reach Hebbal, Manyata Tech Park and the CBD by driving south on Bellary Road, and the airport by driving north. Yelahanka's shops, hospitals and railway station are close, and Jakkur Lake and Jakkur Aerodrome are just to the south. Kogilu Cross is a busy signal junction, and the local roads off it are still narrow. The Blue Line metro's airport section, with stations at Jakkur Cross and Yelahanka, is under construction along the highway.

Housing includes independent houses, mid-size apartment buildings and gated projects from branded developers, generally priced below Hebbal. Buyers are mostly professionals working in Manyata, Hebbal and the airport belt, first-time buyers looking for 1 and 2 BHK homes, and families who want Yelahanka's services close by.
