Hosur Road, Bengaluru

Hosur Road (NH 44) runs south-east from Silk Board junction through Bommanahalli, Electronic City, Hebbagodi, Bommasandra and Chandapura to Attibele and the Tamil Nadu border. The stretch covered here is the outer section around Hebbagodi and Bommasandra, past Electronic City, where the road leaves the city corporation and enters Anekal taluk.

This part of Hosur Road is an industrial and IT belt. Biocon's campus is at Hebbagodi, Narayana Health City is at Bommasandra, and the Bommasandra industrial area and Electronic City provide much of the local employment. Since August 2025 the Yellow Line metro has run from RV Road to Bommasandra, with stations at Huskur Road, Hebbagodi and Bommasandra, which gives residents a rail link to Silk Board, BTM Layout and Jayanagar. The elevated expressway from Silk Board ends at Electronic City. The highway below remains busy with trucks and buses.

Housing along this stretch is mostly large gated apartment complexes and townships built for Electronic City and Bommasandra workers, with plotted layouts off the highway. Prices are lower than on the Outer Ring Road, and 1 and 2 BHK homes are common. Local roads, drainage and water supply vary from layout to layout.
