Vidyaranyapura is a residential area in north Bengaluru, between the Gandhi Krishi Vignana Kendra (GKVK) campus of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Yelahanka New Town. MS Palya and Doddabommasandra are to the south, Jalahalli and BEL to the south-west, Singapura to the west, and Yelahanka to the north-east. It sits in the Byatarayanapura assembly constituency and falls within the Greater Bengaluru Authority, which replaced BBMP in 2025.

The area was developed as residential layouts, and it is still made up mostly of independent houses with some newer apartment projects on its edges. It is quieter and greener than much of the city, helped by the GKVK campus next door and Doddabommasandra lake. Public sector employers such as BEL at Jalahalli are nearby, as are the air force stations at Jalahalli and Yelahanka. The drawbacks are connectivity and distance: there is no metro close by, bus services are the main public transport, and the roads to Hebbal and Bellary Road are congested at peak hours.

Buyers here tend to be families wanting a calmer north Bengaluru address at lower prices than Hebbal or Sanjay Nagar, as well as retirees. IndiProp lists one project, Prestige Willow Tree, which was priced from about ₹44 lakh. Its possession was due in March 2023, so it is complete and ready to move into.
