Kammanahalli, Bengaluru

Kammanahalli is in north-east Bengaluru, north of Banaswadi and south of the Outer Ring Road. HRBR Layout is to the east, Kalyan Nagar and HBR Layout to the north, Lingarajapuram and Hennur to the west, and Cooke Town and Richards Town a short distance to the south-west. Kammanahalli Main Road is its commercial spine.

The area is known for its mixed community, with a large Malayali and Christian population, churches, and restaurants serving Kerala, north-east Indian and other cuisines along the main road. Manyata Tech Park is a short drive north-west via the ORR, and Banaswadi railway station is close. Traffic on Kammanahalli Main Road and the roads towards the ORR is heavy in the evening. Two metro projects are under construction nearby: the Blue Line, with HRBR Layout and Kalyan Nagar stations on the ORR, and the Pink Line's underground section, which ends at Nagawara.

Housing is mostly independent houses and small apartment buildings on narrow plots, with a few gated projects where larger land parcels became available. Buyers include families who have lived in the area for decades, professionals working in Manyata and the CBD, and students and young workers renting smaller flats.
