Hoodi, Bengaluru

Hoodi is in east Bengaluru, between KR Puram and Whitefield. Whitefield Main Road runs along its southern side, with Mahadevapura and Garudacharpalya to the west, Whitefield and ITPL to the east, Seetharampalya and Kundalahalli to the south, and Ayyappa Nagar and KR Puram to the north. It falls within the Greater Bengaluru Authority, which replaced BBMP in 2025.

Hoodi was a village and industrial area until the Whitefield IT boom pulled housing into it. It now sits between ITPL and the EPIP zone on one side and the KR Puram and ORR offices on the other, and Phoenix Marketcity is on Whitefield Road nearby. The Purple Line has a Hoodi station on Whitefield Road, opened in 2023, which gives a direct train to MG Road, and there is a small Hoodi railway halt on the line through KR Puram. Internal roads, including the Hoodi main road, are narrow and busy, and some layouts still show their village-era planning. The area has decent schools, clinics and shops, with bigger hospitals in Whitefield.

Homes are mostly gated apartment projects with 2 and 3 BHK flats, along with older independent houses. Buyers are largely IT staff working in Whitefield and on the ORR who want metro access at a lower price than central Whitefield. IndiProp lists one project here, Brigade Lakefront, which was priced from about ₹75.8 lakh. Its possession was due in May 2020, so it is complete and ready to move into. The listed price is likely dated, so confirm current rates with Brigade.
