Gottigere, Bengaluru

Gottigere is on Bannerghatta Road in south Bengaluru, past Hulimavu and before the road enters the forest belt of Bannerghatta National Park. Hulimavu and Arekere are to the north, Kalena Agrahara is next door, and the Kothnur and Anjanapura side lies to the west. It was a village until the 2000s and is now a dense residential area on the southern edge of the city corporation.

Bannerghatta Road is the only main road here and it carries heavy traffic for most of the day. The Pink Line is set to change that: its elevated southern section from Kalena Agrahara (next to Gottigere) to Tavarekere runs along Bannerghatta Road with stations at Hulimavu, IIMB and JP Nagar 4th Phase, and connects with the Yellow Line at Jayadeva Hospital. As of September 2026 this section had been built and was awaiting safety clearance and opening. Large hospitals such as Fortis and Apollo on Bannerghatta Road are within reach, and the national park and its zoo are to the south.

Housing is a mix of independent houses, small apartment buildings and gated complexes from branded developers, usually priced below JP Nagar and BTM Layout. Buyers are young families and professionals working in JP Nagar, BTM Layout, Bannerghatta Road offices and, via the Yellow Line, Electronic City.
