Keshav Nagar, Pune

Keshav Nagar is part of Mundhwa in east Pune, about 11 km from the city centre, on the south bank of the river opposite Kharadi. Mundhwa Road connects it west to Koregaon Park, and the Magarpatta underbridge takes traffic south to Hadapsar. Until the 2000s this was farmland on the city's edge. The IT parks in Kharadi and Magarpatta changed that, and large gated townships now line the roads.

The location is the draw. EON IT Park and the other Kharadi offices are just across the river, Cybercity Magarpatta is to the south, and Koregaon Park and Kalyani Nagar are a short drive west. Housing is dominated by big township projects with 1, 2 and 3 BHK homes. IndiProp lists two projects here, both by Godrej Properties: Godrej Infinity and Godrej Rejuve.

The catch is that the crossings that would make the location work have been slow to arrive. A bridge from Keshav Nagar to Kharadi, proposed in 2018-19 with work starting around 2022, was still incomplete in 2025, and an underpass from Keshav Nagar towards Amanora had been built but not opened. Residents have also complained about sudden traffic diversions at Mundhwa Chowk, which force a detour via the Magarpatta underbridge to reach Kharadi or Koregaon Park. When the bridge opens, the commute to Kharadi should become much shorter. Keshav Nagar suits people who work in Kharadi or Magarpatta and are willing to put up with a few more years of road works.
