Dhanori, Pune

Dhanori lies in north-east Pune, beside Vishrantwadi and just west of Lohegaon and the airport. Dhanori Road and Porwal Road are its two spines, and Tingre Nagar Road (the Vishrantwadi-airport road) and the Alandi road carry traffic into the city through Vishrantwadi and Yerawada. It has been inside Pune Municipal Corporation limits for close to 30 years.

For most buyers the draw is location. Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar and the Nagar Road offices are a short drive, the Kharadi IT district is within commuting range, and Pune International Airport at Lohegaon is next door. Housing is a mix of older low-rise societies and newer gated projects.

IndiProp lists 3 projects in Dhanori. Goel Ganga has two, Ganga New Town and Ganga Aashray, which are aimed at first-time buyers with compact 1 and 2 BHK flats, and Kohinoor Group has Kohinoor Viva City. The civic record is the weak point, and local reporting is blunt about it. In August 2026 a PMC standing committee member asked what the corporation had done for Dhanori after three decades, pointing to unfinished roads, patchy municipal water that leaves societies buying tankers, and poor drainage. Porwal Road is congested at peak hours and the development plan road between 509 Chowk and Jakat Naka is still incomplete. Heavy rain has flooded parts of Dhanori despite a ₹55 crore stormwater project. Dhanori suits airport and Nagar Road commuters who want a lower entry price and accept these trade-offs.
