Hadapsar, Pune

Hadapsar is Pune's large eastern suburb, spread along the Pune-Solapur highway from the Magarpatta junction outwards towards Manjari and Loni Kalbhor. It has its own railway station, an older industrial estate and, within its limits, two big planned townships: Magarpatta City, with the Cybercity IT park, and Amanora Park Town, with Amanora Mall. Kharadi's IT parks lie to the north across the river.

This mix of jobs makes Hadapsar one of the city's busiest housing markets, with everything from older housing societies to new high-rise projects on the fringes. Newer launches have moved out along the highway into areas such as Manjari and Shewalewadi, which are often sold under the Hadapsar name. The one project IndiProp lists under Hadapsar, Shapoorji Pallonji's Joyville Hadapsar Annexe, is an example: it sits off the highway in Shewalewadi on about 21 acres and offers 1, 2 and 3 BHK homes.

The Solapur Road is Hadapsar's biggest problem and the focus of heavy investment. In July 2026 Union minister Nitin Gadkari was due to lay the foundation stone for a 31.5 km six-lane elevated road from Hadapsar to Yavat, costing about ₹5,262 crore, with construction expected from 2027 and a four to five year build. MahaMetro is also preparing an elevated Swargate-Hadapsar metro line, and the Magarpatta flyover is to be rebuilt to carry it. These should ease commutes over time but will mean years of works. Hadapsar suits people working in Magarpatta, Kharadi or the eastern industrial belt who want a wide choice of homes and budgets.
