Goel Ganga Developments was started in Pune by Subhash Goel, who is still chairman and managing director, and it has been building in the city for more than 40 years. Its projects are usually sold under the Ganga name. The wider business, also known as Goel Ganga Group, has moved into education, energy and logistics, and the next generation, including Anurag and Gunjan Goel, now sits on the board.

Few Pune developers are spread as widely, and its heaviest presence is in the east and south. Kharadi alone has Liviano, Platino, Serio, Arcadia and Altus in the IndiProp listings, and Dhanori has the multi-phase Ganga New Town along with Aashray. To the south there are Nakshatra on Satara Road, Dham Towers in Bibwewadi, Sangria near NIBM, Sai Ganga and Glitz in Undri and Bhagyoday Towers on Sinhagad Road. In the west it has Utopia and Legend in Bavdhan and Asmi in Wakad. Most projects are mid-segment 2 and 3 BHK flats. The company is also Lodha's partner on Bella Vita, off NIBM Road. With so many projects under similar names, buyers should match the exact project and phase to its MahaRERA number.
