Kolshet, Thane

Kolshet is in north Thane West, along the creek that separates Thane from the Bhiwandi side. Kolshet Road runs north from Balkum, roughly parallel to Ghodbunder Road, with the water on its eastern side and the Manpada and Dhokali areas to the west. Much of this land was once industrial, and over the past two decades it has been rebuilt as a high-rise residential belt within the Thane Municipal Corporation.

Living here means tall towers, large gated complexes and creek views from the upper floors, a short drive from Ghodbunder Road and the malls and offices of central Thane. Homes are mostly 2 and 3 BHK flats, with some 1 BHK and 4 BHK stock, and buyers tend to be professionals and families upgrading within Thane who want newer buildings than the older parts of the city offer. Kolshet Road itself is narrower than Ghodbunder Road and backs up near Balkum and Kapurbawdi at peak hours. Public transport is improving: Metro Line 4 has stations at Kapurbawdi and Manpada, and its first stretch from Gaimukh to Cadbury Junction was in trial runs in September 2026. Metro Line 5, under construction, will start at Kapurbawdi and stop at Balkum Naka.

IndiProp lists five projects in Kolshet. Two are still being built by Godrej Properties: Godrej Panorama (2, 3 and 4 BHK from about ₹1.5 crore, possession due December 2026) and Godrej Ascend (1, 2 and 3 BHK from about ₹81 lakh, possession due April 2028). Three are shown as ready to move: Lodha Sterling (2 to 4 BHK, possession due September 2025, listed from about ₹1.74 crore), Lodha Amara (1 to 3 BHK, possession due November 2025, from about ₹89 lakh) and Wadhwa Platina (2 and 3 BHK, possession due December 2022, from about ₹76.3 lakh).
