Upper Thane, Thane

Upper Thane is the name Lodha uses for its integrated township off the Mumbai-Nashik highway, spread over the villages of Anjur, Mankoli, Surai, Sarang and Vehale in Bhiwandi taluka. It lies across the Ulhas creek from Dombivli West, with Thane city to the south-west and Bhiwandi town to the north. The township covers more than 200 acres, and a large share of the land is kept as open space on the hill slopes.

This is a new, self-contained development rather than an old suburb, so daily life depends on what the township provides and on a car. Most jobs, hospitals and malls are in Thane, and the nearest suburban stations are Thane and Dombivli, both reached by road. The Mumbai-Nashik highway carries heavy truck traffic from the Bhiwandi warehouse belt. Metro Line 5, under construction from Kapurbawdi in Thane towards Bhiwandi, has stations planned at Kalher, Purna and Anjur Phata, which would help once it opens. Buyers are mainly Thane families who want a bigger home or a villa with green surroundings, along with investors betting on the Bhiwandi-Thane corridor.

Lodha Upper Thane itself offers 1, 2 and 3 BHK apartments listed from about ₹59.9 lakh; possession for the launched phases was due in March 2022, so they are shown as ready to move. A second listing under the same name starts at about ₹8 crore and has no possession date. Lodha Casa Eden has 1 BHK flats from about ₹54 lakh (possession due September 2024), and Lodha Villa Royale offers villas listed from about ₹1.53 crore, with possession due in June 2026. Phases and prices change often in a township of this size, so confirm the tower, handover status and current price with the developer.
