Majiwada, Thane

Majiwada is in central Thane West, around the busy junction where the Eastern Express Highway meets the start of Ghodbunder Road. Kapurbawdi and Balkum are to the north, Pokhran Road No. 1 and Vartak Nagar to the west, and Cadbury Junction to the south along the highway. A flyover carries through traffic over the junction, and the area has changed over the past two decades from open land and small industry into one of Thane's main high-rise residential pockets.

The main draw is convenience. Viviana Mall and Korum Mall are a short drive down the Eastern Express Highway, Jupiter Hospital is on the same road, and the highway gives a direct run south towards Mulund, Ghatkopar and the eastern suburbs. Large gated developments such as Rustomjee Urbania dominate the housing, with 1, 2 and 3 BHK flats in tall towers and a growing share of larger premium homes. Buyers are typically professionals and families who commute to Mumbai by road or work in Thane, and who want to live close to both the highway and Ghodbunder Road. The trade-off is noise and traffic at the junction. Metro Line 4 has a Majiwada station, and its first stretch from Gaimukh to Cadbury Junction was in trial runs in September 2026. Line 5 towards Bhiwandi, also under construction, will start at nearby Kapurbawdi.

IndiProp lists three projects in Majiwada. Rustomjee La Vie has 2 and 3 BHK flats from about ₹1.49 crore, with possession due in December 2027. Lodha Crown (1 and 2 BHK, possession due September 2024, listed from about ₹59 lakh) and Rustomjee Urbania Azziano (possession due September 2024, listed from about ₹1.58 crore) are shown as ready to move.
