Anna Salai, Chennai

Anna Salai, still widely called Mount Road, is Chennai's main arterial road. It runs about 13 km from the Cooum near Fort St George south-west to the Kathipara junction in Guindy, passing Thousand Lights, Teynampet, Nandanam and Saidapet on the way and crossing the Adyar by the Maraimalai Adigal Bridge. Several of the city's landmark buildings stand along it, including the LIC Building, Spencer Plaza and Tarapore Towers, with the Gemini flyover at its busiest junction. It is mostly offices, shops, hotels and government buildings, and new homes on the road itself are rare.

Public transport is strong. The Blue Line of the Chennai Metro runs underground beneath Anna Salai, with stations at Government Estate, LIC and Thousand Lights (open since February 2019) and at AG-DMS, Teynampet, Nandanam and Saidapet (open since May 2018). Nungambakkam, Egmore and T Nagar are close, and Brigade places Express Avenue mall about 500 metres from its project, Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road 2.9 km, Egmore station 3 km and the airport 14 km. The road carries very heavy traffic through most of the day, so short distances can take a long time at peak hours.

It has 200 homes in 3, 4 and 5 bedroom formats, including duplexes and penthouses, priced from ₹8.5 crore before charges and taxes. Unit sizes are not published. The project is registered with TNRERA as TN/29/Building/0392/2024, the RERA handover date is June 2030, and construction had reached the seventh-floor slab in August 2026. Buyers are paying for a central address, and should ask for carpet areas before comparing value.
