Sector 12, Greater Noida

Sector 12 is one of the sectors that make up Greater Noida West, the area once sold as Noida Extension. It is planned and administered by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), not by the Noida Authority, even though developers often advertise it with a "Noida Extension" tag. ACE Group, for example, markets a project simply as "Sector 12 Noida Extension".

The sector is part of the high-rise housing belt that has grown up across Greater Noida West. It shares the area's wider facilities, including Gaur City Mall at Gaur Chowk and hospitals such as Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital in Noida Extension and Sarvodaya Hospital in Greater Noida West, though distances from Sector 12 to each were not confirmed.

Metro access is the key issue for buyers here. The Aqua Line extension plan that the UP cabinet approved in November 2024 ran 17.4 km from Noida Sector 51 to Knowledge Park V and included a station named Greater Noida Sector 12. However, the shorter corridor that the Public Investment Board cleared in July 2026 ends at Greater Noida West Sector 4, and was still awaiting Union Cabinet approval as of September 2026. A Sector 12 station therefore depends on a later stage that has no confirmed timeline, and residents should expect to rely on roads for now.
