Ready to MoveVidyavihar East is shaped by the Somaiya campus, a large cluster of colleges and schools that brings a steady student and staff population and keeps the area busier by day than its quiet lanes suggest. Kumar Parasmani is a residential project here by Kumar Properties, a developer founded in 1966.
The project was built with 1, 2 and 3 BHK homes in high-rise towers. The listing carries two price points: a 2 BHK at ₹1.88 crore and a 3 BHK at ₹2.43 crore. Carpet areas were not supplied, so ask for the RERA carpet area of the flat on offer and work out the rate per square foot before comparing with Ghatkopar or Kurla. Shared facilities include a multipurpose area, a gym and a children's play area.
Possession was due in November 2018. The project has been complete for some time, and IndiProp shows it as ready to move. Prices above are the listed figures and may well be dated. Most available flats now are likely to be resale, so check the occupation certificate, the society's formation and maintenance charges as well as the price. Two MahaRERA registrations are on record, P51900010014 and P51900023727, which usually indicates separate phases.
For commuters, Vidyavihar station on the Central line is walking distance from most of the neighbourhood, and Ghatkopar, with its Metro Line 1 connection, is the next stop. SCLR, the link road from Santacruz to Chembur, starts nearby and runs across to the western suburbs and the domestic airport, and the Eastern Express Highway is a short drive east. The area around the station is crowded at peak hours, which is worth seeing on a weekday visit.
