Piramal Realty

Piramal Realty is the real estate business of the Piramal Group, the conglomerate chaired by Ajay Piramal with interests in pharmaceuticals and financial services. It began in 2012 and was founded by Anand Piramal, who remains a director. The company says it is developing over 11 million sq ft of residential and commercial space in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, has delivered about 5,800 homes and has raised around $235 million in private equity. It works with outside firms such as the architects HOK, and its board of advisers has included Nitin Nohria of Harvard Business School.

All of its housing is in Mumbai and Thane. Piramal Mahalaxmi overlooks the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, and the company recently handed over a 30,000 sq ft polo-themed clubhouse there. Piramal Aranya in Byculla faces the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan, better known as the Byculla Zoo. In the eastern suburbs, Piramal Revanta is in Mulund West along the Goregaon Mulund Link Road, and Piramal Vaikunth is a large multi-phase project in Thane beside the Eastern Express Highway, sold in several series. The company also owns Piramal Corporate Park, an office project in Kurla.
