Salempur Mehdood, Haridwar

Salempur Mehdood lies between Haridwar's SIDCUL industrial estate and Bahadrabad, a little way off the Delhi to Haridwar highway (NH-334, formerly NH-58). It is an industrial and working-class area rather than a pilgrim or holiday district. Hero Realty runs an industrial park here, and the Denso Chowk junction takes its name from the auto-parts maker's plant. Most homes suit people employed in the SIDCUL and Bahadrabad industrial areas and at BHEL.

The practical distances are short for work and longer for the city. The Delhi to Dehradun Expressway opened in April 2026, and its Haridwar spur, now under construction, is planned to end at Bahadrabad on the Haridwar ring road, which should cut the drive from Delhi once it opens. Shopping, large hospitals and schools are mostly in Haridwar city, Jwalapur or Ranipur.
