Vinayak Group

Vinayak Group is a Kolkata developer with more than 35 years in the city's housing market. It is based on Manoharpukur Road in south Kolkata and builds mainly in the south and east of the city. The company says it has completed more than 45 projects, about 3 million sq ft of homes for some 7,000 families, and has another 5 million sq ft under construction and 4 million sq ft planned. It is privately held and has built its record largely on apartment complexes for salaried families.

Vinayak 21 Acres is its largest current project. It is off New Town Action Area III, in the planned township east of the city that also holds the Infosys campus and a growing office belt. The project has apartment towers and a separate section of three and four bedroom villas with private gardens. New Town suits buyers who work in Sector V, New Town's IT parks or near the airport, and the area has wide roads and planned civic services, though metro links to central Kolkata are still being built out.
