Sugee Group

Sugee Group was set up in 1986 and is based in Worli. It started out in redevelopment of residential and commercial buildings, and most of its work is still in older, settled neighbourhoods of central and South Mumbai, where it rebuilds housing societies and sells the additional homes. The company says it has completed 32 projects and has more under way. It is privately held and has recently taken on larger work, including Sugee Lake District, a commercial project in Thane.

Sugee Marina Bay is its project in Worli, one of the pricier residential markets in the city, with the Coastal Road and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link close by. Like most of its projects, it is aimed at buyers who want to stay in the central city rather than move to the suburbs. On redevelopment sites, existing residents get flats in the rebuilt towers, so buyers should check how many units are actually for sale and what the society agreement says about timelines.
