Runwal Enterprises

The Runwal name goes back to 1978, when Subhash Runwal started building in Mumbai's central suburbs. In 2016 the Runwal Group split into two independent companies: Runwal Realty, led by Sandeep Runwal, and Runwal Enterprises, led by Subodh Runwal. Runwal Enterprises is the one behind the Dombivli township. It says it has delivered more than 13,300 units across 19 completed projects, with over 88 million sq ft of development in its portfolio, mainly in Mumbai's eastern, central and south-central suburbs. In September 2026 the company filed a red herring prospectus with SEBI and the stock exchanges for a public issue of shares.

Runwal Garden City sits on Kalyan-Shilphata Road in Dombivli East. The company describes it as an integrated township of more than 250 acres, with a large share of open space, gardens, clubhouses, cricket grounds and two schools planned inside the site. It is built in phases, and each phase has its own MahaRERA registration and completion date. The township suits buyers who work along the Kalyan, Thane and Navi Mumbai belt, since Kalyan-Shilphata Road links to all three. Commuters heading into Mumbai should allow for slow traffic on that road at peak hours.
