Provident Housing

Provident Housing was set up in 2008 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Puravankara Limited, the listed Bengaluru developer, to build homes for mid-income buyers. It shares its parent's address on Ulsoor Road and draws on Puravankara's in-house construction arm. The company says it has delivered more than 14,000 homes and about 12.8 million sq ft, with some 11,000 more homes under construction. It works in nine cities, among them Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mangaluru, Coimbatore, Goa, Mumbai and Pune.

Its projects are usually large gated communities on the edges of cities, where land is cheaper and the flats can be priced for first-time buyers. Provident Park Square, the project IndiProp lists under this name, is on Kanakapura Road in south Bengaluru, a corridor that has filled with mid-market apartment projects since the Green Line metro reached the area. Other Provident projects in Bengaluru, such as Botanico in Whitefield and Sunworth City on Mysore Road, are listed on IndiProp under Puravankara.
